10p, 20p and 30p: How Many Wearing Days Are in a Box?
In a contact-lens listing, 10p usually means ten individual lenses, not ten pairs. For a daily disposable product used in both eyes, ten lenses provide five two-eye wearing days when the powers and lens model match. If your left and right prescriptions differ, you need to calculate the boxes for each eye separately.

Start with pieces, then count complete pairs
The “p” notation is a useful clue, but the package-contents field is the place to confirm the actual quantity. A box with ten pieces contains ten individual lenses. A box with twenty contains twenty. Do not multiply either quantity by two because the product photograph shows both eyes.

When both eyes use the same prescription
If the same exact model and power are prescribed for both eyes, the lenses in a single compatible box can be counted in pairs. Ten pieces divide into five pairs, twenty into ten and thirty into fifteen.
This is why a box described as “10p” can last fewer wearing days than a first-time buyer expects. The useful comparison is the number of complete two-eye days available, not the largest number printed in the product title.
For a specific trip, count the days you actually plan to wear the prescribed lens and include a sensible spare supply. Do not turn a five-day supply into a longer one by reusing a daily disposable lens. The CDC describes true daily disposables as single-use lenses.
When the powers differ
If each box contains one selected power and your eyes require different powers, allocate a separate box to each eye. Monthly packs use a different clock
A monthly box with two lenses does not mean two single-use days, and a monthly box with one lens does not automatically supply both eyes.
