Is it the exact product?
Confirm brand, model, color, replacement cycle and all prescribed parameters. The same power or base curve does not make two lens models interchangeable.
KPOP2 AUTHENTICITY & LENS SAFETY
A careful check starts before you open the individual lens pack. Confirm the exact product, your prescribed values, the expiry date and every seal—because identity, fit and appearance are different questions.
BEFORE OPENING
Check the outer box and every individual pack in good light. If anything is unclear, keep it sealed while we review it with you.
Match the brand, model, color, replacement cycle and pack size to your order.
Compare right and left eye values separately with your valid contact lens prescription.
Count boxes and sealed lenses before discarding any packaging.
Find EXP on the box and individual packs. Do not use an expired lens.
Look for lifting, punctures, leaks, dryness, cloudiness or visible debris.
Keep the LOT or batch code visible. It helps identify the exact production batch.
LABEL GUIDE
Placement and wording vary by manufacturer and market. These are common label fields—not a universal package template.
THREE DIFFERENT QUESTIONS
Confirm brand, model, color, replacement cycle and all prescribed parameters. The same power or base curve does not make two lens models interchangeable.
Only a licensed eye care professional can assess fit, eye health and whether the prescribed lens is appropriate for you.
Color can vary with iris color, pupil size, lighting, camera settings and screen display. Appearance is not proof of identity or fit.
CLEAR RESPONSIBILITY
PACKAGE OR PRODUCT CONCERN
Photograph the outer box, individual pack, product name, EXP and LOT. Do not discard the shipping packaging.
Do not use the lens. Save the opened pack, lens, box and labels so the concern can be reviewed.
If you develop eye pain, unusual redness, discharge, swelling, light sensitivity or blurred or changed vision, remove your lenses immediately and contact an eye-care professional right away. Do not put the lenses back in or wait for KPOP2 support before seeking care.
Include your order number, affected eye if relevant, clear photos of the front and back labels, each seal, EXP and LOT, plus a short description of what you noticed.
For your security, never send passwords or full payment-card details.CLAIMS & RECORDS
A company, factory or standard name does not mean every lens has the same authorization in every country. The relevant model, intended use and destination market must match.
MFDS is South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety; KFDA is the former agency name. Product authorization and Korean good-manufacturing-practice (KGMP) requirements are separate checks. Match each record to the exact device or covered family, manufacturer, manufacturing site, scope, status and validity. Korean origin, a factory certificate or a generic badge does not establish authorization for every lens or destination.
ISO 13485:2016 is the current published quality-management-system standard for medical devices; it was reviewed and confirmed in 2025. Certification concerns the named organization, site and scope, not approval of every product. The ISO 18369 series addresses contact-lens terminology, tolerances and test methods. As of October 1, 2026, ISO 18369-1:2017 remains the published Part 1; ISO/FDIS 18369-1 is a final draft, not a published replacement. Check the applicable part and edition in any technical record.
In the United States, colored and decorative contact lenses are medical devices that require a valid contact lens prescription, including 0.00-power lenses. Under the FTC Contact Lens Rule, a seller must obtain a prescription copy or complete the required verification process before filling an order. Use the exact prescribed brand or model and parameters; a matching power alone is not enough.
FDA establishment registration and device listing do not mean that a device is cleared or approved. FDA does not issue registration certificates for medical-device facilities. Product-specific clearance and approval are separate regulatory routes; check the record for the exact device and manufacturer instead of treating “FDA registered” as a product-safety guarantee.
CE marking must be interpreted for the specific product and applicable EU framework. Certain products without an intended medical purpose are addressed by MDR Annex XVI rules. A CE mark should not be generalized across unrelated models or markets.
Import, prescription, sale and labeling requirements differ by destination. Match any official record to the exact device or covered family, legal manufacturer, manufacturing site where relevant, intended use, local importer or responsible party where required, and current status, scope and validity. Authorization in one country does not establish authorization in another. Customs clearance does not prove product authorization or individual suitability.
AFTER OPENING
Wash with soap and water, then dry hands completely before handling lenses.
Keep lenses away from water and saliva. Remove them before showering, swimming or using a hot tub.
Follow the prescribed replacement schedule and product instructions. Never reuse a daily disposable.
For reusable lenses, use fresh recommended solution—never top off old solution.
Avoid sleeping or napping in lenses. Overnight wear requires a lens approved for that use and explicit guidance from your eye-care professional; it still increases the risk of infection.
Contact lenses are medical devices and are not risk-free. If you develop eye pain, unusual redness, discharge, swelling, light sensitivity or blurred or changed vision, remove your lenses immediately and contact an eye-care professional right away. Do not put the lenses back in or wait for KPOP2 support before seeking care.
FAQ
Remove them as soon as possible. Discard daily disposables. For reusable lenses, discard them or clean and disinfect them overnight using the recommended lens-care system and the full product instructions before wearing them again. Rinsing alone is not disinfection. Seek eye care right away if symptoms occur.
If you develop eye pain, unusual redness, discharge, swelling, light sensitivity or blurred or changed vision, remove your lenses immediately and contact an eye-care professional right away. Do not put the lenses back in or wait for KPOP2 support before seeking care.
No single visual check is conclusive. A sealed pack is an important safety check, but product identity should be assessed using the complete order, package, model and traceability details.
Not on that basis alone. Lens design, material, diameter and other characteristics can differ. Use the exact product prescribed and ask your eye care professional about any change.
Rules vary by destination. In the United States, decorative colored lenses—including lenses without vision correction—require a valid prescription.
Not necessarily. Manufacturers may update packaging, and market-specific labels can differ. Keep the product sealed and send clear photos of all labels, EXP and LOT for review.
Do not open or use that lens. Keep the box and all packs together and contact KPOP2 with photos showing the affected pack and its traceability details.
No. Fit and eye health require an examination by a licensed eye care professional. KPOP2 can help compare the order with visible product and package information.
Your natural iris, pupil size, lighting, camera processing and screen display all affect appearance. A visual difference alone does not establish a product-identity problem.
Keep the shipping package, outer box, all individual packs, labels and any opened components. Include your order number and clear photos of EXP, LOT and the issue.
