Prepared by KPOP2 Editorial Last reviewed September 22, 2026 For global KPOP2 customers

The one rule to remember

Email the exact prescription. Order the exact lens.

KPOP2 accepts prescription documents by email only at cs@kpop2.com. Match the prescribed contact-lens product and every required parameter for each eye. KPOP2 can clarify order details; your eye-care professional determines fit and clinical suitability.

01 · How it works

Move from prescription to verification in four clear steps

Prescription verification, order preparation and shipping are separate stages. Sending complete information early helps prevent avoidable questions before fulfillment.

  1. 01

    Review

Check the patient name, prescriber, validity dates, exact lens identity and parameters for each eye.

  2. 02

    Email

Send a clear, complete copy to cs@kpop2.com. Include your full name or KPOP2 order number.

  3. 03

    Order

Select only the prescribed lens and values. Do not estimate, convert or substitute a different brand on your own.

  4. 04

    Verify

We compare the order and prescription information. If clarification is needed, Customer Care will reply by email.

02 · Email your prescription

Send one clear message with the details needed to match your order

Email is the only KPOP2 channel for receiving prescription documents. You may send the document before checkout or after receiving your order number.

Send to cs@kpop2.com Suggested subject: KPOP2 Prescription — [Order Number or Full Name]
Before ordering

Identify the intended lens

Include your full name and the exact product you intend to order.

After ordering

Add the order number

Include your KPOP2 order number so the document can be matched to the correct order.

Attachment quality

Show the complete document

Send a readable photo, scan or PDF without cropped edges, glare or covered details.

Send only what is needed

Exclude sensitive extras

Do not send passwords, payment details, one-time codes, insurance information or unrelated medical records.

Email receipt is not final verification. Verification, stock preparation and shipping are separate steps. If clarification is needed, Customer Care will reply by email.

03 · Check the document

Confirm six details before sending your prescription

Do not add or guess information that is not shown. If a required detail is unclear, ask your eye-care professional.

01

Patient name

The full name of the person for whom the lenses were prescribed.

02

Prescriber details

The eye-care professional’s name and verifiable clinic contact information.

03

Lens identity

The prescribed contact-lens brand or manufacturer and product name when shown.

04

Right and left values

All parameters for OD/right and OS/left, even when both eyes match.

05

Issue and expiry

The dates showing that the prescription is current under applicable requirements.

06

Complete document

Every relevant page, note, signature and identifying detail supplied by the prescriber.

An eyeglass prescription is not a contact-lens prescription. Contact lenses require product-specific fitting information. Do not convert or copy spectacle values into a contact-lens order.

04 · Read the parameters

Keep every value attached to its label and eye

Your prescription may not use every field below. Order only the parameters supplied for the exact lens prescribed to you.

OD
Right eyeThe values listed for your right eye.
OS
Left eyeThe values listed for your left eye.
PWR
SPH / PowerThe corrective power. Preserve the plus or minus sign exactly.
BC
Base curveA fitting parameter describing the curvature of the lens.
DIA
Overall diameterThe physical lens diameter—not the graphic diameter.
CYL
CylinderA toric parameter used for astigmatism correction when prescribed.
AX
AxisThe toric orientation value used together with cylinder.
ADD
Add powerA multifocal parameter when included in the prescription.
G.DIA
Graphic diameterThe printed color area. It does not replace DIA, BC or any fitting value.

05 · United States orders

All contact lenses—including 0.00/plano colored lenses—require a valid prescription in the U.S.

Decorative and colored contacts are medical devices in the United States even when they do not correct vision.

Prescription copy or verification

A seller must have a prescription copy or verify the prescription information with the prescriber before providing contact lenses to a customer in the United States.

Prescription validity

A U.S. contact-lens prescription is generally valid for at least one year unless a documented medical reason supports a shorter period; applicable state law may require longer.

Eight business hours

When prescriber verification is used, the period is calculated under the FTC Rule in the prescriber’s time zone. It is not eight continuous elapsed hours.

Outside the United States: Requirements vary by destination. Follow applicable local requirements and your eye-care professional’s directions.

06 · When details do not align

An order hold is a pause for clarification

A hold does not mean that KPOP2 is recommending a different lens or changing your prescription.

Why an order may pause

  • The prescription email has not been received.
  • The document is unreadable, incomplete or expired.
  • The ordered brand, power or another parameter does not match.
  • Right and left eye information is incomplete.
  • Prescriber details are insufficient for verification.

What to do next

  • Reply by email with the requested information and order number.
  • Review every sign, decimal and right/left value.
  • Ask your prescriber before changing a lens or parameter.
  • Do not resend unrelated medical or payment information.
  • Wait for verification before expecting dispatch.

07 · Clear answers

Prescription Verification FAQ

Practical answers to common prescription, verification and email questions.

Do I need a prescription for 0.00/plano colored contacts?

For U.S. orders, yes. Decorative contact lenses remain prescription devices even without corrective power. Requirements elsewhere may differ.

How do I send my prescription?

Email a clear, complete copy to cs@kpop2.com. KPOP2 receives prescription documents by email only.

Can I email it before placing an order?

Yes. Include your full name and exact intended product. If you already ordered, include the KPOP2 order number.

Can I use my eyeglass prescription?

No. An eyeglass prescription does not provide the same contact-lens fitting information.

Can KPOP2 convert my glasses power?

No. Power conversion and contact-lens fitting must be handled by an eye-care professional.

What if my two eyes have different powers?

Select the exact right and left values shown on your contact-lens prescription. Review OD and OS independently.

Can I order another brand with the same power?

Do not substitute a different brand on your own. Ask your prescriber before changing the prescribed product.

Does graphic diameter need to match DIA?

No. DIA is the overall lens diameter; graphic diameter is the printed color area and is not a fitting substitute.

Why is my order on hold?

A hold can occur when information has not arrived or is unclear, incomplete, expired or inconsistent with the order.

Does emailing a copy guarantee immediate dispatch?

No. Email receipt, verification, stock preparation and shipping are separate steps.

What does eight business hours mean?

For U.S. prescriber verification, the period is calculated under the FTC Rule in the prescriber’s time zone—not as eight continuous hours.

What if my prescription has expired?

Contact your eye-care professional for an updated examination and prescription. An expired prescription cannot be treated as current.

Can KPOP2 confirm that a lens will fit me?

No. KPOP2 can clarify product and order information, but fitting and suitability require an eye-care professional.

What should I leave out of the email?

Do not send passwords, payment details, one-time codes, insurance information or unrelated medical records.

What if my prescription is not in English?

Email the complete original document. Customer Care will tell you if clarification is required; do not change prescription values yourself.

What if the prescription name differs from the order?

Explain the difference in your email and include the order number. KPOP2 may request clarification.

Do I need to email my prescription again for a new order?

Email the current prescription with the new order number unless Customer Care confirms that another copy is not needed.
